Uh oh… it’s not shoal draft like I was told.

I’m at the precipice of consummating a deal on a 1991 Catalina 36 that I was told by the broker is the shoal draft version. While I was doing research on USCG documentation at 3 AM this morning, I discovered that it was actually documented as the 5.4″ draft. Now my wife reasures me often that size doesn’t matter but will that extra foot cause me problem on the Chesapeake Bay? I’m trying to tell my gut not to worry about it but I’ve learned that when my gut speaks, I should listen closely…Uh oh… it’s not shoal draft like I was told.
