(April 10, 2023) – The wind is strengthening and veering for the Golden Globe Race frontrunners who have about three more weeks before finishing in Les Sables d’Olonne, France. Leader Kirsten Neuschäfer(RSA) is nearly heading north, and as she is positioned on the inside of the shift from Abhilash Tomy (IND), added another 20 miles to now have a 100 mile cushion. However, Tomy is still 4° further north (240+ nm) and is well positioned to be the first in downwind conditions when that shift occurs. The ETA for the leader is April 30.
