San Diego Yacht Club defended their Sir Thomas Lipton Challenge Cup title when they defeated ten yacht club teams in J/105s on October 28-30 in San Diego, CA. Led by Tyler Sinks with crew Max Hutcheson, Lucy Wallace, Nick Kaschak, Eric Shampain, Jake La Dow, and Nevin Snow, they won three of 11 races in the round robin series to edge out Coronado Yacht Club by five points, with New York Yacht Club seven points off the lead. Yacht Club teams from across the USA competed in the 107th edition, with Sinks claiming his fifth Lipton Cup title. – Details
