Help 1986 Macgregor 21 Keel “Modified” ?

Start off by saying I am new to sailing. I purchased a 21′ Macgregor sailboat a few years ago. It is a swing keel on a trailer. The Trailer needed work and the boat has not been in the water yet. (Now the problem) When I bought the boat, one of the previous owners modified the keel by welding two large pieces of iron to the bottom of the keel. The two pieces were approximately 14″ x 14″ but matched the width of the keel. The added weight was approximately 150 pounds 75 pounds each piece…Help 1986 Macgregor 21 Keel “Modified” ?
